Helping provide special birthdays for needy kids

As one of St. Jerome’s Catholic Schools Week service projects, students assembled birthday boxes for children in need. Students filled bakery-style boxes with birthday party items such as candles, plates, napkins, cake mixes and party hats. The students then decorated the boxes with cheerful messages and drawings. They were able to assemble 37 birthday boxes for Catholic Social Services with the generous contributions from school families. These boxes will allow families in need, who come to Catholic Social Services for food and clothing, to provide a special birthday for their child. ••
